Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP ("SBR") is well-known for our class action representation on behalf of individual and institutional investors involved in securities litigation and arbitration. Our attorneys enjoy an outstanding reputation in the Bar for our consistently superior work product, the innovative strategies we develop and the effective solutions we obtain. Our firm is regularly chosen by state and federal courts nationwide as lead counsel on complex securities class actions, and we receive many of our cases on referral from other counsel and former clients.

Experienced Individual and Institutional Investor Representation

Our lawyers actively prosecute and defend class action claims brought by individual and institutional investors, corporate entities, pension funds, hedge funds, other financial institutions and foreign investors in U.S. markets. We represent clients' interests in matters involving:

  • Client/broker disputes
  • Stock broker fraud and misconduct
  • Hedge fund, mutual fund and other corporate fraud
  • Ponzi schemes
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) violations
  • Other securities fraud

We are proud of our ability to take cases to trial in state and federal courts across the country.

Among our many successful results, we obtained a major settlement in Cheney v. Cyberguard (S.D. Fla.), a securities class action against a corporate issuer and its executives, in which approximately 90% of the damages claimed by class members were received. This result far exceeds the normal amount in securities class actions, and led United States Magistrate Judge Andrea M. Simonton of the Southern District of Florida to comment that "I think that the result was an outstanding result. ... [Q]uite frankly, I think that if [SBR] didn't have that caliber of counsel on the plaintiffs' side, there is no way that these shareholders would be looking at the recovery that they are and, in my experience, it is a substantial recovery."
